Bjelin’s hardened wood range won the Best of NeoCon 2023 Award in the Hard-Surface Flooring: Natural Materials category! The Scandinavian-designed floors were recognised for their “excellence and innovation” at NeoCon’s event in Chicago.

A leading platform for the commercial interior design industry, NeoCon’s awards focus on innovation and creativity. What sets Bjelin’s hardened wood floors apart is that they are empowered by ground-breaking technologies, making them exceptionally durable and long-lasting.

“We’re thrilled to win this prestigious award,” said Zach Adams, Bjelin’s General Manager for the US. “This is a testament that our hardened wood flooring range is one of a kind. Made from high-quality European wood, these floors are durable, beautifully designed, and a more sustainable option.”

Bjelin’s hardened wood flooring range features the patented technologies, Woodura and 5G Dry, developed in-house by sister company Välinge Innovation. Woodura is a surface technology that ensures the floors are three times stronger than engineered wood floors while only a tenth of wood is needed.

The leakproof 5G Dry floor locking system ensures a fast, easy, and durable installation without glue or nails. A watertight joint prevents water from seeping through the panels and damaging the subfloor, making these floors last longer.

Aesthetically, the natural beauty and visible grain patterns add a sense of authenticity and timelessness to a room. In combination with the wide planks, these floors make an impact. Bjelin’s range is provided in Scandinavian-influenced colours, from deep and dark browns inspired by the forests, to light white synonymous with long, bright summer days.

Bjelin acquires the Croatian furniture producer Spin Valis

Pervanovo Invest AB, the parent company of Bjelin industries in Croatia and Välinge Group in Sweden, has through its subsidiary Välinge Croatia signed an agreement to acquire 85% of the shares in the Croatian furniture company Spin Valis. The intention is to acquire 100% of the shares. The acquisition means that large-scale production and marketing of furniture with Välinge’s click technology can be achieved faster than originally planned and the availability of oak material will increase. The acquisition requires approval from the antitrust authorities. Spin Valis will be renamed Bjelin Spinvalis.

Bjelin initiates clean energy program with solar cells powering its manufacturing

Bjelins vision is to become the world's largest and most sustainable wooden flooring company. The flooring production is partly powered by solar panels placed on the roofs of the facilities.
